According to an official statement from the Executive Engineer, Water Works Division Srinagar, the Department of Civil Investigation & Design Wing, JKPDC, Kashmir, has scheduled an essential 30-hour shutdown. The maintenance work includes repairs on the Sindh Power Canal HEP in Old Ganderbal and desilting of the Forebay.
This interruption will significantly impact the raw water supply to the Alusteng and Rangil Water Treatment Plants, leading to a shortage of potable water in multiple areas across Srinagar.
