Special interlocutor of Central Government in talks over Jammu and Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma has termed his visit “very fruitful”.

He also said that all Indian citizens are stakeholders in these peace talks. He also promised future visits to the state.

Dineshwar also accepted that he has not yet been successful in holding any meeting with the Hurriyat leaders.

Various delegations met Dineshwar and talked over issues like governance deficit, corruption, poor road connectivity, reservation and other regional issues. Some delegations also pressed him not to hold talks with the Hurriyat.

During his visit, he met 30 delegations in Kashmir and 34 in Jammu. He also met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir separately in Srinagar.

In Jammu, he met a BJP delegation, CM Mehbooba Mufti and Governor NN Vohra also.

As his visit is over now, he will be briefing Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. He has not clarified if he would submit an interim report to the Central Government about the visit or not.
