Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh, grandson of Maharaja Hari Singh has resigned from party membership of PDP as well as from the Legislative Council.
The resignation seemingly came dramatically day after the 225th birth anniversary of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of Jammu and Kashmir state. It could be concluded that the Dogra spirit within him woke up after witnessing overwhelming love and respect for the Dogra dynasty on the anniversary day.
He posted a copy of the resignation letter on his social media account. In his resignation letter, as posted on his social media account, he has stated the following causes of his action:
- The moot decision of settlement of Rohingyas in the state.
- Non inclusion of Dogra history in school books of the state.
- Public holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
The letters, both in Hindi and English have got thousands of likes and more than 400 shares, which clearly indicate people’s trust over him. In almost all the comments people have come to his support and seem interested in a political outfit lead by the royal Dogra family. Here are a few such comments:

Only time will tell, how good this decision will turn out to be, but entire Jammu division seems to be ready to see the rise of a powerful regional party on the lines of Aam Aadmi Party and Shiv Sena to address the issues of the people which national and parochial parties have failed to do.
