In a significant milestone for the event, the official logo of the Jammu Marathon was unveiled on 15 December 2025 by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, marking the formal launch of what is expected to become one of the most iconic running events on the Indian marathon calendar.
The logo launch ceremony highlighted the government’s strong commitment to promoting sports, fitness, and tourism in Jammu & Kashmir, while positioning the Jammu Marathon as a flagship sporting event in North India.

The prestigious launch event was attended by Minister for Youth Services and Sports Satish Sharma, MLA Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi, former minister Ajatshatru Singh, and Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Ashish Chandra Verma. Adding further prominence to the occasion, international fitness icon, model, and actor Milind Soman was present, lending inspiration and national visibility to the marathon.
Also in attendance were Director Tourism Jammu Vikas Gupta, along with senior government officers, sports officials, and key stakeholders, all of whom emphasized that the Jammu Marathon will emerge as a landmark event, blending fitness, heritage, and tourism promotion.
