Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) successfully conducted the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination on Sunday. A total of 19,776 candidates appeared for the highly anticipated exam across multiple centers in the Union Territory.
Exam Centers and Participation Breakdown
According to an official spokesperson, JKPSC set up 71 examination centers across Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate the smooth conduct of the exam. The distribution of centers and candidate participation was as follows:
- Jammu Division: 43 centers, including four in Rajouri and two in Doda.
- Kashmir Division: 14 centers in Srinagar, five in Anantnag, and three in Baramulla.
- Registered Candidates: 31,655
- Appeared Candidates: 19,776
- Jammu Division: 13,881 candidates
- Kashmir Division: 5,895 candidates
Strict Monitoring and Security Arrangements
To ensure a fair and transparent examination process, JKPSC implemented strict monitoring measures. The Chairman, Arun Choudhary, along with all members of the commission, personally supervised the arrangements and visited various exam centers.
Furthermore, each exam center had the presence of:
- One Magistrate
- Two Observers
- Adequate security personnel deployed in collaboration with the Police Administration
These arrangements were made to maintain the integrity of the examination and prevent any misconduct.
