Detailed Forecast from the MeT Department

Talking to local news agency KNS, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Director of MeT Kashmir, stated that a feeble western disturbance is influencing the region’s weather.

“Cloud cover will increase, followed by light snowfall in the mountainous areas and light rain in parts of the plains, including the Jammu region,” Dr. Ahmad said. He confirmed that the weather activity is expected to subside by the early morning of November 5th.

Extended Dry Spell and Fog Prediction

Following this brief spell of wet weather, the Jammu Kashmir weather forecast indicates a return to dry conditions.

“The weather is expected to remain dry from tomorrow (Nov 5) until around November 16 or 17,” Dr. Ahmad added. During this period, residents can expect shallow to moderate morning and evening fog, particularly in the plains and valleys, with a gradual improvement as temperatures rise later.
