The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has issued fresh orders regarding the reopening of schools across the Jammu division. Offline classes in all government and private schools are set to resume from September 10, 2025.
Schools to Remain Closed Till September 6
According to the official order, schools will continue to remain closed on September 6, 2025. However, necessary preparations for reopening will begin shortly thereafter.

Staff to Report from September 8
From September 8, 2025, all Heads of Institutions (HOIs) and teaching as well as non-teaching staff have been directed to report for duty. Their primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive safety and security audits of school buildings
- Ensuring that campuses are fully ready for resumption of offline classes
- Taking necessary decisions to facilitate smooth reopening
Monitoring and Compliance
To ensure strict adherence to the order, the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of various districts have been tasked with:
- Monitoring day-to-day preparations
- Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols
- Submitting detailed compliance reports to the Directorate
The Directorate emphasized that timely compliance of these instructions is mandatory. All institutions have been instructed to follow the guidelines “in letter and spirit” to ensure a safe and organized reopening for students.
