Jammu & Kashmir’s rising fencing star, Subhanaya Sharma, has earned the honor of donning the national colors at the prestigious Cadet and Junior Fencing World Championship set to unfold in Wuxi, China. This highly competitive tournament will be preceded by an intense, strategy-focused coaching camp, orchestrated by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Pune, spanning from March 20 to April 11.

Subhanaya’s remarkable selection stems from her extraordinary performance at the 19th Cadet National Fencing Championship (2024-2025 season), where she showcased sheer dexterity and tenacity in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Competing under the aegis of the Jammu and Kashmir Fencing Association, she clinched an impressive bronze medal in the Sabre event, further cementing her status as a formidable force in Indian fencing.
