The Lieutenant Governor called for aggressive countermeasures against Overground Workers (OGWs), who he described as crucial enablers of terrorist activities. He stressed the importance of identifying these individuals, who aid terrorists with logistics, mark targets, and facilitate escapes.

Dismantling Terror Infrastructure a Top Priority

LG Sinha strongly advocated for dismantling the terror support infrastructure spread across the Union Territory. “The support system that enables terrorism must be eliminated from every corner of Jammu and Kashmir. No element should feel safe or supported,” he said, adding that the administration must ensure there is no sanctuary left for such threats.

He directed officials to tighten surveillance and increase coordination among security agencies for swift, intelligent action.

Ensuring Public Safety and Confidence

The Lieutenant Governor reiterated that the safety and confidence of the common citizen must remain at the forefront of all operations. “Our foremost priority must be to instill a sense of security among the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The public must feel safe and supported,” he said.

By strengthening ground-level intelligence, dismantling terror networks, and enhancing coordination between forces, the UT administration aims to deliver a long-term solution to the menace of terrorism.

The meeting concluded with a call for unwavering commitment from all departments involved in security and public administration. With LG Manoj Sinha’s clear direction and the combined effort of law enforcement agencies, Jammu and Kashmir is moving forward with a comprehensive plan to restore peace and stability by eliminating the very foundation of terrorism from the region.
