Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) has invited applications from eligible and interested candidates for engagement on a contractual basis for the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Programme in different Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Jammu and Kashmir.
The recruitment has been issued under Advertisement No. 29977 JSCL of 2026, dated September 21, 2026, with reference to Government Order No. 197-JK(HUD) of 2026 dated September 19, 2026.
Available Positions and Emoluments
JSCL has announced 55 total posts across three categories. The engagement is purely contractual and temporary.

Eligibility Criteria
Veterinary Surgeon: Candidates must hold an MVSc in Surgery and Radiology from a recognized Veterinary College. Valid registration with the Veterinary Council of India, J&K Veterinary Registration Tribunal, or any other Veterinary Council or Tribunal of any other state is required.
Para-Veterinarian or Medical Nurse: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with science from a recognized Board or Institution.
Dog Catchers or Handlers: No qualification bar applies. The position is open to all irrespective of educational qualification.
The age limit for all positions is 18 to 45 years.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will implement the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Programme, treat sick and injured animals, and administer the Prevention of Cruelty against Animals Act 1960 in different ULBs of Jammu and Kashmir.
