Jammu, Sunday Evening: Panic gripped Jammu Railway Station after an unidentified caller falsely reported the presence of a bomb, prompting an emergency response by security forces.

In a conversation to Media Agency a senior official from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, information about a potential explosive at the station was received in the evening. “Given the sensitivity of the matter, teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Railway Police were immediately rushed to the spot and the entire area was thoroughly searched,” the official said.

Following an extensive security sweep of the premises, no suspicious items were found. Authorities declared the area safe and confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.

Police have launched an investigation and are working to trace and identify the individual responsible for the false alarm.
