According to news reports, Mohar Singh Chib (70) is a retired Armyman, who has two married daughters and a son, is resident of Jogi Nallah area in Sunderbani border tehsil of Rajouri district.
Chib came into contact with the young woman namely Pushpa Devi, a resident of Reasi and both got married with the consent of their respective families.
However, it didn’t remain a happy marriage as a dispute between the couple and their relatives developed and both families approached police later on.
Pushpa has a child from her previous marriage. On Wednesday, the retired Armyman organized a function where both the families had gathered to celebrate the “unique” marriage ceremony. However, later the family members of the newly wedded woman agitated with their elderly son-in-law over some issue and entered into heated arguments.
The matter became serious and both sides approached the concerned police station with their complaints.
Even as no formal case has been registered, the police are counseling the couple and their families to end the dispute.
The jubilant groom, who hails from Sunderbani, does not seem to stop at this. He has shown interest in joining politics by fighting elections as an independent candidate. Here is the legend himself.
