On August 15, 2015, PM Modi promised to eliminate the process of interviews for hiring non-gazetted candidate in government offices. It is only after two years that the J&K state government has decided to implement a similar order as reported by Daily Excelsior. If and when this order gets implemented, it will have following effects on our system:
No wait for years: Hiring authorities used to delay the interview process thus hanging the future of candidates for long. Since, the interviews are done away with, high scorers rest assured of getting hired.
Deserving candidates only: With implementation of this order, the hiring process will become more transparent. Only those candidates will be selected for a job who fulfill required criteria and are of merit.

Fast filling up of vacancies: A lot of time was consumed in interviewing, i.e. 5 times the number of candidates required to fill the vacant posts. Not to mention the time lapsed between the exam and conduction of exams.
No more wastage of time and resources: For filling up 5 seats, 25 candidates were interviewed earlier. It lead to wastage of lots of time and money. Eliminating the interview-stage will save loads of money and time.
No more papa ki sifarish: Earlier, it was blamed that deserving candidates were deliberately rejected thus preferring the blue eyed benefeciaries. It won’t possibly work now and all the papa ke laadle boys will have to work hard this time.
Now rejoice if you are one of those hard working and deserving candidate, else get ready to study for the tests.
