Traffic Advisory Issued for New Year Eve 2026 Celebrations in Jammu

New Year Eve 2026 will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit across Jammu City. Various celebrations are scheduled on the intervening night of 31st December 2025 and 1st January 2026, and a large public turnout is expected at several prominent locations.

According to Traffic Police Jammu, heavy footfall and vehicular movement are anticipated at popular venues such as Wave Mall Jammu, Asia Hotel, Jammu Club, Amar Singh Club, K.C. Residency, Bagh-e-Bahu, Radisson Blu, Hotel Fortune Rivera, Hotel Vivanta, Gole Market, and other similar public and commercial places.

Parking Advisory for Commuters

In view of the expected rush, the general public is advised to park vehicles only at designated parking areas or nearby authorised parking spaces.
Parking on roadsides or at unauthorized locations, which may lead to traffic congestion and inconvenience to others, must be strictly avoided.

Strict Action Against Traffic Violations

Traffic Police Jammu has warned that strict legal action will be taken against motorists found violating traffic laws. Special checks will be conducted to curb:

Drunken Driving
Overspeeding
Stunt Biking
Reckless and Dangerous Driving

Authorities have emphasized that stunt biking will be dealt with firmly, as it poses a serious risk not only to the rider but also to other road users. Motorists are strongly advised not to indulge in such dangerous activities.
