Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat rankings are out and Jammu railway station has given us a reason to be proud. In the list for A-1 category of stations, out of 75 stations, Jammu railway station has ranked 3rd.
The two stations, which beat Jammu to get higher spots were Vishakhapatanam and Secundarabad.
Here is a list other stations from the top ten ranks which Jammu railway station beat to get to the third spot.
- Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh
- Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi
- Lucknow, UP
- Ahmedabad, Gujarat
- Jaipur, Rajasthan
- Pune, Maharashtra
- Bangalore City, Karnataka
These ranks were allotted after considering cleanliness in area like parking space, main entrance, main platform, waiting rooms, open area and toilets. Passenger feedback was also used to give ratings to stations.

While we may cherish the feat, there is enough reason for authorities and us, as a passenger, to do more as Jammu had secured the same spot last year. So, we should not stop here but strive to get the top most position.
