Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for a temporary Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow position in Central University of Jammu, Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences for the IUAC-sponsored research project titled:
“Ion Beam Induced Defect Engineering for Thermoelectric Applications (UFR-76304)”
The project will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ashish Kumar, Department of Physics and Astronomical Sciences, Central University of Jammu, Jammu-181143, J&K.
Position Details
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Fellow
- Sponsoring Agency: Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi
- Project Duration: Three years
- Tenure of Assignment:
- Initially for one year, extendable annually for up to two additional years based on satisfactory performance as recommended by the Principal Investigator (PI) or competent authority.
Job Description
- Conduct experimental research work related to the project in collaboration with IUAC, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physics/Applied Physics from a recognized university/institution with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
- NET (JRF)/GATE/SET qualification in the relevant subject is preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
- Research experience in experimental materials science will be advantageous.
