The recruitment includes posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak across various postal circles in India.

India Post GDS Posts and Job Role

The recruitment is being conducted for three main GDS positions.

GDS employees receive Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) instead of the regular Central Government employee pay structure.

One of the most important points about this recruitment is that there is no written examination.

Selection is based on the candidate’s Class 10 marks.

Class 10 Marks → System-Generated Merit List → Document Verification → Provisional Engagement

The merit list is prepared using the marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination. Where grades or CGPA are provided, the marks are calculated according to the formula and rules mentioned in the official notification.
