Northern Railway Jammu Recruitment 2026 has released a notification inviting offline applications from the general public for the engagement of 21 ATVM Facilitator posts at various railway stations across the Jammu Division. The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of one year and may be extended up to two years, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement.

This is not a permanent government job, and selected candidates will work as ATVM Facilitators to help passengers obtain unreserved railway tickets through Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs).

A total of 21 vacancies have been notified across 11 railway stations in Jammu Division.

What is an ATVM Facilitator?

An ATVM (Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) Facilitator assists railway passengers in purchasing unreserved train tickets using ticket vending machines installed at railway stations.

The selected facilitators will:

• Issue unreserved railway tickets through ATVMs.
• Help passengers use the ticket vending machines.
• Ensure smooth ticket booking operations at the allotted station.
• Work under the contractual terms specified by Northern Railway.

Nature of Engagement

Candidates should note the following before applying:

• The engagement is purely contractual.
• Initial contract period is one year.
• It may be extended up to two years depending on performance and Railway requirements.
• This engagement does not guarantee permanent employment in Indian Railways.

Railway Benefits Not Available

Selected facilitators will not be treated as regular Railway employees.

They will not receive:

• Regular Railway employment
• Absorption in Railway service
• Regularisation
• Bonus
• Railway Pass/PTO facilities
• Other benefits available to permanent Railway staff

Refundable Security Deposit

Selected applicants must deposit a refundable security amount before execution of the agreement.

Security Deposit Conditions

• Deposit must be made in favour of the Sr. Divisional Finance Manager, Jammu.
• Payment should be through Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) or Demand Draft from the applicant’s own account.
• After completion or termination of the agreement, pending dues (if any) will be adjusted, and the remaining amount will be refunded.
