JK ICDS has announced JK Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 for 6 Worker and Helper posts. Eligible women candidates can apply offline till 13 July 2026.

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their offline application forms before 13 July 2026. Selection will be made purely on the basis of merit as per the educational qualifications prescribed for each post.

The recruitment includes vacancies for both Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper posts.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess the required educational qualification according to the post they are applying for.

Eligibility Criteria

For Anganwadi Worker (Sangini)

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

• Must be a woman candidate.
• Should be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Must belong to the same electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
• Minimum qualification should be 10+2.
• Candidates having qualification higher than Graduation are not eligible.
• Selection will be based on 10+2 marks.
• In case of equal merit, the older candidate will be preferred.
• Candidates belonging to the family of a retiring Anganwadi Worker/Helper will receive 2% additional weightage.

For Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika)

Candidates should satisfy the following conditions:

• Must be a woman candidate.
• Should be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Must belong to the same electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
• Minimum qualification is Matriculation (10th Pass).
• If no matric candidate is available, candidates with 8th Pass may be considered.
• Selection will be based on 10th class marks.
• Preference may be given to:
  • Widows with no income source.
  • Destitute women having no income.
• Unmarried candidates may be considered only if no eligible married candidate is available.
