The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially announced the RRB Technician CEN 02/2026 Online Form recruitment drive. With 6,565 Technician vacancies available across India, eligible candidates can apply online through the respective RRB websites from 30 June 2026.

Educational Qualification

Technician Grade I Signal

Candidates must possess:

• B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation, OR
• Diploma/Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Technician Grade III

Candidates must have:

• 10th/Matriculation Pass, and
• ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade, OR
• Completed Act Apprenticeship in the concerned trade.

Age Limit

Technician Grade I Signal

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 36 Years

Technician Grade III

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 33 Years

Age Relaxation

Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD) will receive age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The RRB Technician recruitment process consists of the following stages:

Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Candidates will appear for an objective-type online examination.

Stage 2: Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed railway medical standards.

There is no Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for Technician posts.

Salary Details

Technician Grade I Signal

• Pay Level: Level 5
• Initial Basic Pay: ₹29,200 per month

Technician Grade III

• Pay Level: Level 2
• Initial Basic Pay: ₹19,900 per month
