If we go by recent news reports, Jammu and Kashmir government plans to boost border tourism specifically in the Suchetgarh area because it is relatively more peaceful compared to the other sectors along the IB.

Here are few things which can soon happen at India’s sensitive International Border (IB) with Pakistan at Suchetgarh in Jammu and turn it into a tourist hot spot:

  • Parades similar to those held at Wagah border will be performed at Border. It was also reported that the BSF has started preparations from their end for the parade and parades might happen regardless of Pakistan’s participation.Suchetgarh border jammu
  • Under the project, the heritage Octrio post is being developed and a museum-cum-gallery housing war artifacts is being set up at Suchetgarh.Octroi post Suchetgarh border jammu
