Wall of Heroes in the Central University of Jammu to impart patriotism in our youth

The Central University of Jammu, CUJ has inaugurated a ‘Wall of Heroes’, displaying photographs of Param Vir Chakra recipients, as part of the Union HRD Ministry’s ‘Vidya Veerta Abhiyan’. Wall of Heroes Jammu

The event was organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of CUJ in collaboration with the 26 Infantry division, Jammu.

More than 15 war veterans from various units who fought in Tiger Hills and Tololing and five ‘veer naris’ were felicitated by the Vice Chancellor and the GOC.

Wall of Heroes is supposed to come up at 1000 schools and colleges of India to inculcate patriotism in the youth.

Wall of Heroes is part of Vidya Veerta Abhiyan launched by the HRD Ministry launched after dastardly beheading of two soldiers by Pakistani forces earlier this year.

A Wall of Heroes measures 15 feet by 20 feet and will carry portraits of 21 Param Veer Chakra Awardees.
