Jammu Municipal Corporation, JMC is going to launch a home security scheme soon. Under the scheme, intelligent home security solutions will be provided to the citizens. Here is what you need to know about the scheme:
The scheme has been named as Jammu Suraksha Yojana.
JMC Commissioner, Pankaj Magotra has made announcement about the scheme. According to him, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with ITI Limited, a Government of India undertaking.
The proposal for the scheme was placed before the General House meeting recently and was unanimously passed.
Under the scheme, any resident of the city willing to install a home security system may approach ITI Limited through the sewa kendras in different wards of the JMC.
As per the instant proposal, ITI Limited will provide the following services/equipment to the citizens at a subsidised cost of Rs 10,000 plus applicable taxes, payable at a monthly instalment of Rs 500 only.

Its features include:
- High-definition indoor IP-based camera with embedded artificial intelligence technology
- Artificial intelligence-embedded theft alert (real time)
- Two wireless door alarm sensor sets (AI electromagnetic waves technology)
- In case of any emergency, the customer can click SOS button and the limited details of the subscriber will be shared with the control room and three registered contacts for back-up.
