With e-challan in system in state, it will become difficult to bargain with traffic policemen. Now one can’t escape by exposition of less cash. In such times, only your card will come to your rescue.

Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have websites where one can check if any traffic offence is registered against them. Not just this, it also mentions the challan amount and similar details.
No it is nothing new. The system is already in place in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Delhi and Vijaywada.
AND beware, they’ll be looking at you all the time. Surveillance cameras, signal cameras, speeding cameras and other digital devices are soon to be incorporated by the jammu & Kashmir traffic police. THEY’LL LOOK YOU AND BOOK YOU and send you an email or SMS alert!

Department is in process of implementing integrated Traffic Management System, Driving Institutes and Integrated Certificate Centres for Jammu as well as Srinagar. This will go a long way in enhancing the capacity of Department of Transport and Traffic police.
